The live 1977 album Heavenly Earth opens with "Sunlight's Introduction", Sunlight being Sky Saxon’s recently-adopted moniker. In his relaxed and other-worldly voice Sky mentions how he and some of the other band members (including guitarist Rainbow Neal) have been having children as of late, and that they are going to be improvising while being joined by various friends of theirs. He also explains that they’re recording songs for “a new album”. This may have seemed far-fetched to some in the audience but Sky was right: the excellent document of a long-ago forgotten night in Hollywood is still seen for sale on blue or the rarer green vinyl.
