“One More Time Blues”
by The Sky Saxon Blues Band
1967 song
A lively blues, "One More Time Blues" was recorded by The Seeds with blues guitarist Luther Johnson; George Smith adds harmonica. "One More Time Blues" was recorded on October 4, 1966; the third of three takes is the one on the LP A Full Spoon Of Seedy Blues by the so-called Sky Saxon Blues Band.
There’s not much empty space in "One More Time Blues"; unlike some of the sparser and more ethereal blues tunes on the LP, this one is compact. The band plods forward as one fat unit, making its point and then ending just after only two and a half minutes. Simple and enjoyable music by a band of young blues-loving proto-hippies who can’t believe their luck.
