Sky Saxon is especially mellow on "Have You Figured It Out Now?", a long and shimmering blanket of psychedelic meditation on the 2007 album SOS Radio which he recorded in Greece as Atlantic Rising. Biblical references (“golden fleece”) are scattered among his heavily echoed vocals along with the piece’s title, a challenge to listeners to join him and the puppies in his blissful alternate reality. “You could have a baby now. Procreate!” he urges in a friendly if murky voice.
All around him, waves of glowing acoustic guitar, somehow managing to be neither major nor minor – or both at once – swirl and flow majestically. "Have You Figured It Out Now?" is wondrous, an inspiring and drawn-out feast for the senses of those with contemplative sensibilities.
