“Enter The Spirit”
by King Arthur's Court
2005 song
"Enter The Spirit" is by far the shortest piece on A Spring Honeymoon With God & Family. The two-minute soundscape from King Arthur’s Court includes Sky Saxon, reliably and hopelessly stoned, singing free and formless melodies about spirits and dogs. Say what you want about Sky’s lyrical approach but he was a true believer; this is his psyche without filter. The backing sounds on "Enter The Spirit" are weird, sizzling crackles – like the sounds of bacon frying in slow motion – and thick, dark bass. It fades quickly, a nice if unsettling respite amid the longer and more meditative pieces on the album.
