“Bad Part Of Town”
by The Seeds
1970 song
As original members continued to quit The Seeds, Sky Saxon and keyboardist Daryl Hooper soldiered on through 1970 with a new rhythm section and (briefly) a new label, MGM. Their first of two releases for MGM was a 7″ single that included the song "Bad Part Of Town". The blistering rock song, one of Sky’s best, was recorded at the Sound Factory in Los Angeles on July 29, 1970 and released in August. The single’s B-side was the lovelier and more psychedelic "Wish Me Up".
