“Baby Baby (Be Patient)”
by Sky Sunlight Saxon/Fire Wall
1988 song
The Fire Wall song "Baby Baby (Be Patient)" is totally trashy garage rock, decaying but oddly determined. We mean all that in a good way, of course. Sky Saxon and keyboardist Mars Bonfire turn out a real brainless stomper of a classic on this song. The high-pitched buzz of that keyboard is what dominates "Baby Baby (Be Patient)", even more than usual for Fire Wall. Many in the 1980s tried to recapture the spirit of real sixties garage psych; many failed. Sky and his cohorts nailed it here, but what else is new?
"Baby Baby (Be Patient)" can be found on both versions of Fire Wall’s 1988 album – World Fantastic (US) and ...In Search Of Brighter Colors (France). On the CD version of the latter the title is rendered as "Baby (Be Patient)".
