33 Triple – Con 6 Exitos

This is a super rare six-song EP from Argentina’s Dial label featuring The Seeds and two other GNP Crescendo artists, The Bows And Arrows and Delaney (Bramlett). Each artist gets two songs; the 7-inch record runs at 33 1/3 rpm.

Each song title is translated into Spanish on the picture sleeve front and back covers; both Spanish and English versions are given on the record label itself. The Seeds’ "Can't Seem To Make You Mine" is translated “No Puedes Ser Mia” and is the third song on Side A (or Faz A). "No Escape", or “Sin Escapatoria”, leads off Faz B.

It comes in a nice heavy paper sleeve, with the Spanish phrase “Con 6 Exitos!” on the front (“With 6 Hits!”). I would expect an upside-down exclamation mark at the beginning of this phrase but there isn’t one. Huh.

The labels mention GNP Crescendo Records, and all six selections seem to have been chosen partly for their length: it’s hard to fit six songs onto a 7-inch record even at 33 speed with any decent quality; "Can't Seem To Make You Mine" at 2:56 is the longest while the others are mostly closer to 2:00.

A rare record, seldom seen for sale especially with the original sleeve and in good condition. Quite a nice rarity from GNP Crescendo’s Argentina distributor.
