The Seeds (debut album) cassette
by The Seeds
1980s cassette tape
Label: GNP Crescendo [GNP5-2023]
This is a 1980s-era cassette of The Seeds’ 1966 debut album, released by GNP Crescendo. It uses the version of the front cover art (printed in an unadapted square format on the J-card) with the includes the hit single "Pushin' Too Hard" black-box blurb.

The name of the album is shown with half-assed double apostrophes – ‘ ‘THE SEEDS’ ’ – sophisticated typography apparently being of less importance in the heady days of 1960s cassette reissues.

On the front of the case, the spine, and both sides of the cassette itself, the catalog number is written GNP5-2023 instead of the expected GNPS-2023. Presumably this was a typo along the way somewhere and is really supposed to be GNPS (like the original stereo LP and other Seeds cassettes).

Otherwise the songs are in the same order and split up the same, six per side. There are no liner notes or any other information on the back of the J-card. Cassette listeners were lucky; all they got in this package to concentrate on was the music.
