“L.A. Woman”

Sky Saxon occasionally displayed a fascination with Doors singer Jim Morrison and around 2008 finally released a full-on Doors cover in "L.A. Woman". Sky’s version, with a group of unclear musicians possibly dating from the late 1980s (or later), is gritty and tough garage punk rock. It was issued on the vinyl-only LP Dragonslayer, where it was split into two parts that opened and closed Side 1. It’s good, too; the band is amped up and Sky nails the vocals as always. He even does the part about “Mr. Mojo Risin'”, Jim Morrison’s famous anagram of his own name. With a little more planning maybe Sky Sunlight Saxon could have come up with his own anagram instead. Some suggestions:
